Capping – both willow and hazel hurdles can be made with chestnut capping which is attached on the top and bottom of the hurdle. This provides additional strength to the hurdle which is especially useful when the hurdle is being used for an exposed place like on top of a wall or an area that is open to alot of public traffic or just to give the hurdle a diffrent finish.
